If your child, between the ages of 2 and 17, has been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis that is moderate to severe — meaning their symptoms aren't well controlled — an upcoming clinical research study may be an option worth exploring. This study is evaluating an investigational treatment for children who haven't had enough improvement with prior treatments such as steroids, immune-system medications (immunomodulators), or biologic therapy.
